❤️ Our service to you
Life is a UK charity for women and families facing unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy loss, including loss through abortion.
Our services include:
- Free emotional help, counselling, and skilled listening via phone, text, email, or in person.
- Housing and community support around the country for mums and their babies.
- Free pregnancy tests and baby supplies.
- Crafting content that educates the public about pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and our work.
Life Supported Housing
Our network of supported housing helps women transform their lives.
Through a network of Life Houses, run in partnership with local authorities, we provide supported accommodation and access to our Life Skills programme. There will be activities happening in the house so please let us know if there is something you would like to do, or if you have a good idea to improve our service.
The majority of the Life Houses are shared accommodation with communal facilities. This helps to create a community of support among the tenants during their time in a Life House.
Tenants typically stay in a Life House for up to two years before they move on to independent living. You are encouraged to create your own strength-based support plans on entering the House to achieve your own goals.
The life House is your home and we want you to be involved in the services we provide for you. At least once a month there will be a house meeting, if agreed by all tenant in the house, they can be more often. Suggestions are welcomed and we capture this information monthly to enable us to feedback any changes we have made
Life’s Community Support Service helps pregnant women and women with young children in the community.
We can:
- Help you set goals and work to achieve them with you and your child
- Provide practical and emotional support
- Help you manage your current living situation or find other appropriate accommodation
- Provide parenting skill support sessions
… and more.
We believe support is delivered through the environment, people, and their actions. We want to empower women and mothers to learn, grow, and be the best version of themselves.
