You and your visitors responsibilities while in a Life House.

Life house visitor rules

  • Visitors are welcome during designated ‘Visitor Time’ hours, but only when the
    host tenant is present.
  • Each client may have up to two visitors per session.
  • All visitors must complete and sign a Visitor Information Form and Agreement and provide ID, before entering the property with the Support Worker. These
    can be completed over the phone if needed.
  • Visitors must remain appropriately dressed at all times and are not permitted to bathe or shower on the premises.
  • Visitors may not enter other clients’ bedrooms without explicit permission.
  • Visitor hours vary between houses, your support worker will inform you when visitors are allowed in the house.
  • All visitors must leave by the end of the session. Overnight stays are not allowed.
  • Parents or guardians are fully responsible for their children at all times and visitors must not be left in charge of children.
  • Visitors must sign in and out each time.
  • Visitors are expected to treat clients, staff, volunteers, children, other visitors,
    and the property with respect, avoiding any damage to the premises or its
    contents.
  • Any form of violence, aggression, abusive language, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or other inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited.
  • Alcohol, drugs, and other prohibited substances are not allowed on the
    property or its grounds.
  • Visitors must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when entering the
    premises.
  • The property must not be used for any illegal activities.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property or its grounds.
  • Visitors are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
  • Pets or animals are not allowed inside the Life House or on its grounds.
  • Visitors are not permitted to use the Life House facilities for laundry.

 

Important notice:

Failure to follow these rules may result in visitors being asked to leave or the involvement of the police. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to a ban on future visits.

Access to the property is not guaranteed and will be reviewed regularly during House Meetings by all clients.
